abstract |
A secondary battery having both high discharge rate characteristics and cycle characteristics is provided. A lithium secondary battery in which a particulate positive electrode active material substrate containing Li is used as a positive electrode, and an electrolytic polymerization raw material containing at least one of a monomer and an oligomer of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene is added to an electrolytic solution. In the process of performing the initial charge, an electrolytic polymerization reaction is caused to occur in the electrolytic polymerization raw material, and a polymer layer containing a polymerization product of the electrolytic polymerization raw material is formed on the particle surface of the positive electrode active material substrate.
