| abstract |
Implantable materials for use with end effectors such as surgical stapling devices and methods for using the same are generally provided. In some embodiments, the auxiliary material is configured to be fixedly coupled to the cartridge body and used with a surgical stapler to be configured to be fixedly attached to tissue by staples in the cartridge. The staple cartridge assembly that is configured may include a cartridge body having a plurality of staple cavities configured to receive staples therein, and an auxiliary material connected to the cartridge. The auxiliary material may have positively charged particles such that the auxiliary material is configured to promote healing within the tissue. Other implants, devices, and methods of surgical stapling are also provided. |
