abstract |
The stabilized mixed oxidant solution passes through a flow-through electrochemical module that includes first and second passages separated by an ion permeable membrane, and the anode and cathode are in electrical communication with the first and second passages, respectively. It can generate | occur | produce by flowing a raw material liquid (For example, salt brine, hypochlorous acid, or sodium hypochlorite) between applying electric power in the meantime. The initially acidic anolyte received from the first (anode) passage is stabilized by raising the pH to produce a stabilized mixed oxidant solution. The stabilized mixed oxidant solution may be mixed with the primary disinfectant or injected at the same time. Further provided is a method of using the mixed oxidant solution. |
