abstract |
Systems and methods are provided for evaluating fresh tissue samples that are prepared to fluoresce under illumination during a medical procedure. A structured light source is configured to project a spatially patterned light beam onto a fresh tissue sample. The imaging system is configured to generate an image from fluorescence emitted from the irradiated fresh tissue sample. The system controller is configured to provide a human understandable and clinically useful output related to the medical procedure. |
