titleOfInvention | Pneumatic reciprocating fluid pump with improved check valve assembly and associated method |
abstract | Pneumatic reciprocating fluid pump for delivering fluid through at least one check valve assembly having a check valve body insert, a ball within the valve body insert, and an annular sealing ring member disposed within the seat ring receptacle . The sealing ring member has a dimension that is smaller than the corresponding dimension of the seat ring receiving part, so that the sealing ring member can move within the seat ring receiving part. The ball is configured to slide back and forth between a first position and a second position within the check valve body insert in response to forward flow and backflow of fluid therethrough. Seating the ball in contact with the sealing ring member in one position prevents back flow of fluid through the check valve assembly and allows fluid to flow forward through the check valve assembly when the ball is in another position. It becomes possible. [Selection] Figure 1 |
