Devices, systems, and methods are provided that include one ultrasound generator for sample preparation. One ultrasonic generator can be used to mix, resuspend, aerosolize, disperse, disrupt, or degas a solution. One ultrasound generator can be used to destroy one cell, such as one pathogen cell in one sample. Sample preparation can include exposure to a pathogen identifier by sonication to detect, identify or measure the pathogen. One ultrasonic generator can transport ultrasonic energy to the sample solution by bringing its tip into contact with one outer wall of one container containing the sample. A multipurpose device including one ultrasound generator also includes additional components for additional action and assay. Devices and systems comprising such devices can communicate with one laboratory or other device in one system for sample calibration and analysis. |
