abstract Provided is a boroaluminosilicate molecular sieve catalyst useful in hydrocarbon conversion reactions involving isomerization of xylene in C8 aromatic feedstock to produce p-xylene. Advantageously, the boroaluminosilicate molecular sieve catalyst of the present invention is more selective than conventional commercially available xylene isomerization catalysts, resulting in the formation of by-products (C7 and C9 aromatics) by methyl transfer. It has been found to provide a high degree of isomerization of xylene while suppressing. [Selection figure] None
