abstract | Methods for detecting amyloid beta plaques and drusen are disclosed. A method for detecting amyloid beta plaques and drusen may include applying a combination of optical retromode illumination techniques to obtain multiple amyloid beta plaques and drusen images that are too small to be found in other imaging modalities. Also, amyloid beta plaques and drusen images, when executed, may be detected on a non-transitory computer storage medium that stores instructions for performing the method of detecting amyloid beta plaques and drusen. The method may track changes in amyloid beta and drusen plaques, size, area and density over a predetermined period of time. |
