titleOfInvention | Use of Cryptococcus flavesens strains for biological control of head blight |
abstract | Disclosed are methods for identifying Cryptococcus flavesens subspecies and methods for treating or suppressing head blight caused by different Cryptococcus flavesens species. In particular, two genotypes, genotype A and B, were identified using the disclosed real-time PCR technology. The following cryptococcus flavesens strains: Y-7373, YB-601, YB-602, Y-7377, which are either genotype A or B and are capable of suppressing head blight Y-7372, Y-7375, Y-7374, Y-7376, YB-328, Y-7379, and YB-744 were identified.
