abstract By adding a stabilizer comprising one or more catalytic organometallic oxide materials (eg, metal soaps), the microencapsulation process is improved. This reacts with the unsaturated bonds in the walls of the microcapsules to add to the coating (which otherwise breaks down the thermochromic or photochromic functional groups of the microcapsule core) It functions as a crosslinking agent by stabilizing the microcapsules against the influence.
