Preparation and use of piezoelectric film for ultrasonic transducer |
abstract |
According to the present invention, a method for producing an ultrasonic transducer is provided. A piezoelectric polymer is mixed into a solution containing the first and second chemicals to form a viscous film. In some embodiments, the first chemical comprises methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and the second chemical comprises dimethylacetamide (DMA). In other embodiments, the first chemical comprises cyclohexane and the second chemical comprises dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The film is coated on the wafer and then flashed off during coating. The film is then baked. The second chemical is removed during baking. The film is then annealed. In some embodiments, the annealing is performed using an annealing temperature in the range of about 135 ° C. to about 145 ° C., and the annealing time length is in the range of about 17 to about 19 hours. The annealed film has a β phase crystallinity greater than 50%. |
