titleOfInvention | A novel glucose oxidase from Aspergillus niger |
abstract | In addition to the two substitutions T30V and I94V set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1, in addition glucose having at least one additional amino acid substitution in the polypeptide sequence at any position of S53; A137; A173; A332; F414; and V560 Oxidase variants are disclosed. In another aspect, the present invention provides glucose oxidase variants that have significantly reduced oxygen consumption rates and / or increased enzyme activity towards non-oxygen electron mediators. The present invention also provides an assay device carrying at least one GOx variant disclosed herein for improved blood glucose measurement. |
