More specifically, the present application is surprisingly related to nanoparticles that are capable of producing an efficient therapeutic effect when concentrated within a tumor and exposed to ionizing radiation. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising a population of nanoparticles as defined above as well as to their use.
