An object of the present invention is to provide a lipopolysaccharide obtained by a method of culturing an organism containing an immunostimulatory substance that does not require the use of animal-derived components and is inexpensive to eat. An edible gram-negative bacterium having an immunostimulatory function, such as acetic acid bacteria, gluconic acid bacteria, xanthomonas bacteria, zyomonas or enterobacter bacteria, is cultured using a culture liquid mainly composed of wheat flour or okara. Thereby, acetic acid bacteria etc. can be obtained cheaply and safely, and low molecular weight lipopolysaccharide which is an immunostimulatory substance can be obtained inexpensively and safely. Furthermore, they do not have the problem of contamination from animal components. [Selection figure] None |
