abstract |
When adding an oxidizing chemical to water containing an oxidizing agent to treat the RO membrane, the reducing agent is added to prevent the RO membrane from being deteriorated by the residual oxidizing agent, and the oxidizing chemical is added by the added reducing agent. This effectively prevents water from being decomposed by oxidizing chemicals. Nitrous acid and / or a salt thereof is used as a reducing agent. Nitrous acid and / or its salts reduce residual oxidants such as chlorine and cause redox reactions with oxidizing chemicals such as chlorosulfamic acid at practical use concentrations even if surplus remains.
