abstract |
Disclosed is a core-sheath type composite fiber that can effectively adsorb a substance causing membrane fouling and efficiently functions as a membrane fouling suppressing material. A core-sheath-type composite fiber used as a membrane fouling-suppressing material, wherein the sheath part has 10 to 40% by mass of an amine-based polymer (A) having an amino group or a quaternary ammonium group in a repeating unit. A core-sheath type composite fiber comprising a crosslinked polymer composition comprising 60 to 90% by mass of a hydrophilic polymer (B) having no amino group and quaternary ammonium group in a unit.
