titleOfInvention | Transfer type image recording method |
abstract | Disclosed is a transfer type image recording method that can achieve both coating of a processing liquid and cleaning properties without increasing the number of steps. An intermediate image formed by using a treatment liquid and an ink containing a nonionic surfactant is transferred onto a recording medium on an image forming surface of an intermediate transfer member, and the image forming surface is cleaned after the intermediate image is transferred. In the transfer type image recording method to be performed, the treatment liquid is applied to the image forming surface and cleaned under the following temperature conditions. The temperature (T1) of the processing liquid applied to the image forming surface and the cloud point (Tc1) of the processing liquid satisfy the relationship of T1 <Tc1. The temperature (T2) of the mixed liquid of the remaining processing liquid and the aqueous cleaning liquid formed on the image forming surface in the cleaning step and the cloud point (Tc2) of the mixed liquid satisfy the relationship of T2> Tc2.
