abstract A catalyst article, an exhaust treatment system, and a method for simultaneously improving carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide (NOx), particulate matter, and gaseous hydrocarbons contained in a diesel engine exhaust stream are provided. A method of treating a combustion diesel exhaust stream, wherein a passage 24 is open at an intake end and closed at an exhaust end, and closed at an intake end. The exhaust gas flow is in contact with the SCR catalyst composition 30 disposed in the hole wall 13, and then extends from the exhaust end and from the axial length of the wall flow filter.
