abstract |
There is provided a vehicle control device capable of suppressing an increase in deposits accumulated on an addition valve. In this vehicle, an addition valve that is provided in an exhaust passage of an engine 1 and injects urea water, and ammonia generated from the urea water injected by the addition valve is used as a reducing agent. A catalyst for purifying NOx and an automatic transmission 500 including a torque converter 300 having a lock-up clutch 400 are provided. The engine control device 80 performs fuel cut control when the vehicle is decelerated, and the speed change control device 90 performs slip control of the lockup clutch 400. Further, the engine control device 80 calculates the amount of deposit accumulated on the addition valve. When the calculated deposit amount is equal to or greater than a preset threshold value, shift control device 90 prohibits execution of slip control when the vehicle is decelerating and releases lockup clutch 400.
