abstract | An inkjet recording method capable of achieving both suppression of beading and scratch resistance. A recording medium having a water absorption of 10 g / m 2 or less and 0 g / m 2 or more at a contact time of 100 msec with pure water contains 17 to 40% by mass of a structural unit derived from a polyolefin glycol acrylate monomer. Before using an aqueous ink containing particles of an anionic polymer containing a colorant containing 3% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less of a structural unit derived from an anionic monomer, and containing an aggregating agent that aggregates the polymer particles of the aqueous ink. An ink jet recording method comprising the step 1 of attaching a treatment liquid to the recording medium and the step 2 of attaching the water-based ink to a portion of the recording medium obtained in the step 1 where the pretreatment liquid is attached by an ink jet recording method.
