[PROBLEMS] To use a polymer-based scale dispersant without performing specific operations such as agglomeration treatment, and to control the quality of RO membrane water supply, thereby preventing scale failure in the RO membrane and providing stable and efficient water. Process. A water treatment method using a reverse osmosis membrane, wherein the water quality of the reverse osmosis membrane feed water satisfies the following water quality condition III. <Water quality condition III> pH: 4.0-7.0 Ca hardness: 150-1200 mg CaCO 3 / L M alkalinity: 50 to 600 mg CaCO 3 / L Sulfate ion concentration: 100-1200 mg / L Silica concentration: 0 to 150 mg / L Absorbance at a wavelength of 260 nm (when using a 50 mm cell): 2.5 or less Polymer-based scale dispersant concentration: 3 to 50 mg / L as Solid [Selection figure] None |
