abstract |
Plasma devices and processes for surface treatment and tissue treatment are provided. A plasma system includes a plasma device including an elongated body, a first electrode, and a second electrode defining a lumen therethrough, a plasma device in fluid communication with the lumen, and a tube. An ionic medium source configured to supply an ionic medium to the cavity and 16 and sufficient energy to ignite the ionic medium supplied by the ionic medium source to generate a plasma inflow. A variable frequency energy source configured to supply the first and second electrodes, the frequency of the energy being adjustable to change at least one characteristic of the plasma outflow.
