abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a recombinant animal serum albumin that is safe and can be mass-produced and can be substituted for blood-derived animal serum albumin. Another object of the present invention is to provide a hemoglobin-genetically recombinant animal serum albumin complex, an artificial plasma expander, and an artificial oxygen carrier that can be safely and mass-produced. The recombinant animal serum albumin of the present invention is a serum albumin of mammals other than humans, and is characterized by being produced by genetic recombination using a cell derived from Pichia yeast as a host cell.
