titleOfInvention Hybrid car
abstract An engine is prevented from being damaged regardless of the environment outside the vehicle. A hybrid vehicle 100 that travels by the driving force of one or both of an engine 110 and a motor 120 has a motor travel mode that travels with the motor in preference to the engine, and an engine that travels by using the motor and the engine together. The driving mode switching unit 160 that switches between a plurality of driving modes including the combination mode and a condition determination unit 168 that determines whether or not a predetermined rough road condition is satisfied are provided. If it is determined that the engine is satisfied, the engine is started when the engine is stopped regardless of the current travel mode, and the engine is prohibited from stopping while the rough road condition is satisfied.
