abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Gewenol A derivative exhibiting an ATP increasing action and a method for producing the same. A Jewenol A derivative is a derivative comprising Jewenol A and phloroglucinol. The production method comprises a step of fermenting a fermented liquid obtained by adding fermented natto from Natto Honpo to leaves and soybean powder of fermented soybeans and fermenting with B. niger. The obtained Jewenol A derivative exhibits an excellent effect and is applied as a cosmetic, food preparation, or pharmaceutical product. In particular, when used in cosmetics, it increases ATP and retains the skin epithelium. It also increases ATP in liver and kidney epithelial cells, which helps protect epithelial tissues.
