abstract | Disclosed is a liquid developer that is excellent in low-temperature fixability, can achieve reduction in toner particle size and uniformity in particle size, and is excellent in heat-resistant storage stability. A liquid developer includes an insulating liquid and toner particles dispersed in the insulating liquid. The toner particles have a core / shell structure. The core / shell structure includes core particles including a core resin and a shell resin that is provided on at least a part of the surface of the core particles and is a resin different from the core resin. The core resin includes a polyester resin. The shell resin has a first structural unit derived from the first vinyl monomer. The first vinyl monomer includes a sub-structural unit derived from the first polymer as a side chain.
