abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set capable of recording an image excellent in gradation and scratch resistance even when a recording medium having an ink receiving layer is used. SOLUTION: An ink jet ink set composed of four types of inks of black, cyan, magenta, and yellow, wherein the four types of ink each have a self-dispersing pigment and an acid value of 100 mgKOH / g. An ink set comprising an acrylic resin of 200 mgKOH / g or less, wherein at least one of the four types of ink further contains a urethane resin having an acid value of 40 mgKOH / g or more.
