abstract [Problem] To provide a method for avoiding contamination with an undesirable enzyme such as cellulase when an enzyme such as protease or amylase is produced as a recombinant. A bacilli seed cell in which the bglC gene, which is an endoglucanase gene, is inactivated by deletion, insertion, substitution or rearrangement, is prepared, and a desired detergent-added protein such as subtilisin is produced in the bacillus seed cell. A method for obtaining the desired detergent-added protein containing no cellulase by introducing a recombinant nucleic acid for culturing and culturing the resulting Bacillus seed cells.
