abstract |
A lithium-air secondary battery having a small charge / discharge voltage difference and a small decrease in discharge capacity even after repeated charge / discharge cycles is provided. A lithium-air secondary battery according to the present invention includes an air electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte in contact with the air electrode and the negative electrode. The air electrode includes a conductive material and a catalyst. The catalyst is characterized by containing platinum ruthenium (Pt x Ru y ), where x and y represent the atomic ratio of platinum and ruthenium in the platinum ruthenium alloy.
