abstract | A liquid ejecting apparatus capable of discharging foreign matter existing in a liquid ejecting section having a plurality of nozzles and a maintenance method for the liquid ejecting apparatus are provided. A liquid ejecting apparatus communicates with a common liquid chamber and a common liquid chamber capable of storing a first liquid supplied via a liquid supply path, and is supplied from the common liquid chamber. A liquid ejecting unit 1 having a plurality of nozzles 21 capable of ejecting a liquid to the medium, and a fluid injecting device capable of injecting at least one of a gas and a second liquid into the liquid ejecting unit 1 through an opening of the nozzle 21 .
