abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for easily and efficiently producing porous cellulose particles having a narrow pore size distribution and a high mechanical strength. SOLUTION: A method for producing porous cellulose particles according to the present invention includes: a) a step of preparing a cellulose dispersion by mixing at least cellulose, water, a strong base compound and an ether surfactant at a low temperature; b A step of preparing an emulsion by mixing at least the cellulose dispersion and a dispersion medium, and c) a step of bringing the emulsion into contact with a coagulation solvent.
