abstract | The present invention provides a means capable of measuring the concentration of endotoxin more easily and with high sensitivity (on the order of 100 pg / mL) as compared with conventional electrochemical measurements. A method for measuring the concentration of endotoxin contained in a sample, wherein (1) the sample is brought into contact with a carrier on which a first endotoxin recognition molecule is immobilized, and the endotoxin in the sample is captured and concentrated on the carrier. (2) contacting the endotoxin recognition probe containing the heavy metal compound and the second endotoxin recognition molecule with the carrier, capturing the endotoxin recognition probe on the endotoxin on the carrier, and (3) reacting the endotoxin recognition probe with an acidic solution.
