abstract |
Provided are a light-shielding film and an optical element for further improving optical characteristics even in a glass using a material having a high refractive index. An optical element in which a light-shielding film 1 is provided on a part of an outer peripheral portion of a substrate 2, wherein the light-shielding film has a compound 14 having an epoxy group, a colorant 15, and a refractive index (nd). The refractive index (nd) in the interface region of the light shielding film having a film thickness of 15 nm from the interface between the base material and the light shielding film is 2.2 or more. The average concentration of the inorganic particles is 1.1 to 1.5 times the average concentration of the inorganic particles having a refractive index (nd) in the light-shielding film of 2.2 or more.
