abstract To provide a photon counting CT apparatus capable of clearly discriminating an energy spectrum related to a target region of a subject from an X-ray energy spectrum output from an X-ray tube. A radiation detector 151 detects X-rays transmitted through a subject and gamma rays emitted from a radiopharmaceutical administered to the subject. The setting unit 33 sets an energy threshold for dividing an energy band in which X-rays are dominant and an energy band in which gamma rays are dominant. Based on the output signal from the radiation detector 151 and the set energy threshold, the spectrum data generation unit 37 sets the X-ray spectrum data set belonging to the energy band in which X-rays are dominant and the energy band in which gamma rays are dominant.
