Disclosed are beverages and other beverage products having improved formulations for inhibiting fading of pigments derived from natural sources. A beverage product comprising water, a pigment derived from a natural source selected from beta carotene, black carrot, natural apple extract, and combinations thereof, and a fading of the pigment derived from the natural source. Beverage product comprising: a bleaching inhibitor comprising a compound selected from enzymatically modified isoquercitrin, rutin and myricitrin at a concentration of at least 30 ppm for inhibition. Beverage product in which the enzymatically modified isoquercitrin is present at a concentration of 30 to 1000 ppm. Beverage product, preferably further comprising at least one nutrient selected from maltodextrin, ascorbic acid, vitamin E, magnesium and zinc, and more preferably fumaric acid.
