titleOfInvention Method for producing dimethylaminoethyl acrylate and quaternary salt thereof
abstract An object of the present invention is to control dimethylaminoethyl acrylate or dimethylaminoethyl acrylate 4 by controlling the content of vinyloxyethyl acrylate which is an impurity present in dimethylaminoethyl acrylate and dimethylaminoethyl acrylate quaternary salt. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing dimethylamino acrylate and dimethylamino acrylate quaternary salt which does not adversely affect a polymer obtained by polymerizing a quaternary salt. A method for producing dimethylaminoethyl acrylate is characterized by transesterifying an alkyl acrylate and dimethylaminoethyl alcohol having a vinyloxyethanol content of 20 ppm or less in the presence of a catalyst.
