A rack in a diagnostic apparatus is provided. A rack according to the present invention includes a housing having a horizontal member and a plurality of lanes. The horizontal member has a first vertical side surface, a second vertical side surface, and a plurality of slots, and each of the slots has an opening on the first vertical side surface. Each lane of the plurality of lanes has a first location configured to receive a sample tube and a second location configured to receive a reagent holder. The reagent holder has at least one reagent container and at least one process container. The housing is configured to allow the reagent holder to be removed from the lane without removing the sample tube from the lane. [Selection] Figure 5 |
