abstract The present invention provides a method for efficiently reducing 3-MCPD, 3-MCPDE, etc., which are chloropropanols in edible fats and oils, by a simple method. In the production of edible fats and oils from raw material oil including a curing process, a clay of pH 7.0 or higher, pH 7.0 or higher in any step before, during or after the curing process.
