abstract An object of the present invention is to suppress an excessive increase in engine operation time during traveling in an electric travel priority mode. When a traveling power Pdrv * reaches a threshold value Pref or more in a CD mode (t11), the engine is started, and when the catalyst warm-up is requested, the catalyst warm-up is executed. After that, when the traveling power Pdrv * reaches less than the threshold value Pref (t12), the engine is stopped even if the catalyst warm-up is not completed. Thereby, it is possible to suppress the operation of the engine 22 from becoming excessively long during traveling in the CD mode.
