abstract | Provided is a sample separation device capable of satisfactorily separating a sample containing a plurality of proteins and nucleic acids and stably transferring the sample to a transfer film. Further, the present invention provides a sample separation and adsorption device that has such a sample separation instrument and that can stably and continuously perform sample separation and adsorption onto a transfer film. SOLUTION: A storage unit 10 for storing a separation medium for electrophoresis and a support 20 made of a porous material are formed. The storage unit 10 has an internal space 10c filled with a separation medium. The sample separation instrument 1 is provided with a supply port 10a and a discharge port 10b that communicate with the internal space 10c, and the support body 20 is provided to close the discharge port 10b.
