titleOfInvention | Optical transmission apparatus and optical signal transmission method |
abstract | When a plurality of parallel signals are transmitted by a multi-carrier by a plurality of transmitters, the reliability of the transmitter against failure is improved. A wavelength switching unit of an optical transmission apparatus including a plurality of optical signal transmission units instructs a switching destination transmitter to use a wavelength used by a transmitter in which a failure has occurred to transmit an optical subcarrier. The framer of the first optical signal transmission unit, which is an optical signal transmission unit having a transmitter in which a failure has occurred, is a part of a client signal received from one or more clients by an optical signal transmission unit including a switching destination transmitter. A transmitter that outputs to a second optical signal transmitter, generates a parallel signal based on the remaining client signal that has been output, and the parallel signal in which the client signal is set does not cause a failure of the first optical signal transmitter Output to. The framer of the second optical signal transmission unit generates a parallel signal based on the client signal received from the first optical signal transmission unit, and outputs the generated parallel signal to the switching destination transmitter.
