abstract A new method for identifying an original magnetic field existing in a measurement region is proposed. A light source unit 2 irradiates a gas cell 3 arranged in a measurement region with linearly polarized light whose traveling direction is the z-axis direction and whose electric field vibration direction is the y-axis direction.
