abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a tuberculosis vaccine having a high ability to prevent infection and a long immunostimulatory effect. A recombinant BCG (BCG-PEST) was newly prepared by introducing a plasmid expressing a PEST-HSP70-MMP-II-PEST fusion protein using urease-deficient BCG as a host. The recombinant BCG of the present invention is superior in action and effect compared to conventional BCG-Tokyo strains and known recombinant BCG (BCG-DHTM, etc.) in in vitro tests and in vivo exposure tests for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It was shown to be a tuberculosis vaccine with high infection-protective ability and a long immunostimulatory effect. [Selection figure] None |
