abstract The present invention provides a fertilizer processing apparatus and a fertilizer processing method capable of appropriately adjusting moisture during fertilizer processing with a relatively simple configuration. A fertilizer processing apparatus for fertilizing organic matter, comprising: a processing container 1 for fertilizing input organic matter; and a lid member 3 covering an opening facing the bottom surface of the processing container 1. The lid member 3 is provided with an inclined portion 100 in which at least a part of the ceiling portion facing the bottom surface of the processing container 1 is inclined, and an inclination is provided between the ceiling portion of the lid member 3 and the bottom surface of the processing container 1.
