The present invention provides a production method for producing pentameric CRP with high efficiency by a genetic engineering technique. A DNA encoding a monomeric CRP is introduced into a silkworm to produce a transgenic silkworm, and then a pentameric CRP produced by the produced genetically modified silkworm is recovered and purified.
