titleOfInvention | Straw tube and method for cryopreservation of semen or fertilized egg |
abstract | [Problem] To provide an ice-planting means that does not require a separate complicated procedure when cryopreserving sperm and a fertilized egg and that can form ice crystals with high certainty. SOLUTION: A straw tube A in which a solution containing semen or a fertilized egg is accommodated in a hollow part 2, wherein a plug part 1 formed on one end A1 side has an inner plug 11 and powder in order from the hollow part 2 side. Layer 12 and outer plug 13 are composed of three layers, and the powder layer is a straw tube A formed of a mixed powder containing a moisture-absorbing coagulant powder and an ice core substance, and is previously placed in the plug portion 1 of the straw tube. The contained ice nuclei function as ice nuclei during freezing, and when freezing sperm and fertilized eggs, the operator can use only the conventional freezing procedure, without any complicated procedures. In addition, ice nuclei are placed in advance at a position in contact with the solution containing semen or fertilized eggs in the straw tube, and the ice nuclei are planted, so that ice crystals can be made with high accuracy and certainty. It is set as the structure which can be formed. [Selection] Figure 1 |
