Monoclonal antibody against amyloid beta protein and use thereof |
abstract |
Provided is a monoclonal antibody that can be used in prevention, treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other neurodegenerative diseases. A monoclonal antibody comprising a variable heavy chain and a variable light chain, wherein the three complementarity determining regions (CDRs) of each of the variable heavy chain and the variable light chain have a specific amino acid sequence, and amyloid A monoclonal antibody that binds with higher specificity to amyloid beta protein globulomer than to beta protein monomer. The monoclonal antibody is produced by a hybridoma having the American Type Culture Collection designation number PTA-7238. A method of diagnosing Alzheimer's disease in a patient by contacting the antibody with a biological sample isolated from a patient suspected of having Alzheimer's disease. [Selection] Figure 1 |
