titleOfInvention | A method for evaluating the coating adhesion of a coated nickel hydroxide powder for an alkaline secondary battery positive electrode active material. |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and reliably evaluating the adhesion of a coating made of a cobalt compound in a short time with respect to a coated nickel hydroxide powder for a positive electrode active material for an alkaline secondary battery. SOLUTION: A coated nickel hydroxide powder for a positive electrode active material of an alkaline secondary battery in which the surface of nickel hydroxide particles is coated with a cobalt compound is charged into a sealable cylindrical transparent cell 1 together with a certain amount of water, Shaking is performed for a certain period of time by reciprocation in a direction a parallel to the central axis of the cylindrical transparent cell 1. After the shaking is finished, the adhesion level is visually determined based on the wall deposit adhered to the wall of the cylindrical transparent cell 1 or the settled slurry not adhered is washed out and the wall deposit is redispersed in the aqueous solution. The adhesion of the coating is evaluated by measuring the turbidity of the resulting dispersion. [Selection] Figure 1 |
