abstract | The present invention provides a resin composition having good thermal stability by suppressing the decomposition of a thermoplastic resin in a method for producing a resin composition by kneading a thermoplastic resin and a vinyl polymer. An extruder cylinder 6 has a raw material supply port 1, a vent port 2, a side feed port 3 and a discharge port 5 for supplying a vinyl polymer (B) obtained by an emulsion polymerization method or a suspension polymerization method. The screw elements having kneading ability are included in the cylinder inner region between the downstream end of the raw material supply port 1 and the upstream end of the vent port 3. A screw element having a resin blocking action is included in the cylinder inner region between the downstream end and the upstream end of the side feed port 3, and between the downstream end of the side feed port 3 and the upstream end of the discharge port 5. Using an extruder in which a screw element having kneading ability is contained in the inner region of the cylinder, the thermoplastic resin is melted, and then the vinyl polymer (B) is side-fed and melt-kneaded.
