PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single fHbp polypeptide capable of inducing a bactericidal antibody response that is effective against a wide range of strains expressing different factor H binding protein (fHbp) variants. By means of a first analysis of 69 unique fHbp sequences and a second analysis of all 275 peptide IDs, several different sequences of amino acid sequences within fHbp were analyzed. conserved between fHbp and based on this Chimeric fHbp eliciting antibodies that are bactericidal against various fHbp variants of Meningitidis.
